Ask yourself when answering your phone is it safe to.
- Have a discreet ring tone or have your phone on vibrate so you're not a target for thieves.
- Don’t walk while you talk or text, stop and stand in a lighted place so you know what’s going on around you.
- Be careful when giving out personal details on your mobile as you never know whose listening.
- Only give your number to people you trust so you don’t get unwanted or prank calls and texts.
- Use your mobile to always let your parents or carers know where you are, if you plans change contact them.
- Always remember that if you have no credit a 999 call is free
- If your phone is stolen report it straight away.
- Keep a list of important numbers in case you lose or break your phone or if it runs out of battery.
- Always have change in case you need to use a phone box or pay phone.
