Just just one person may interview you or it could be a panel of say 3 people. This is usually the Head of the Department, perhaps a Section Head from that department and somebody from Human Resources. The departmental people will tell you about the job itself and the person form Human Resources will tell you about pay, hours of work, pensions and anything else that relates to the terms and conditions of your employment.
When you are in the interview you are just like an actor. You are playing the role of a candidate being interviewed. So what does this mean?
Well it means that the person who gets the job may not be the best person for the job but can be the person who seems to be the best one – they have been the best actor. This means that to compete you will have to be very prepared and be able to give the best possible performance to sell yourself to the employer.
